Bernie Sanders believes that we have to destroy ISIS but we have to learn about past history and realize we can’t do it alone. It’s true that we have to be aware of past history, because if we are aware of past history we may be less likely to repeat the same mistakes. Sanders also has the following beliefs; we should help refugees, not be involved in the murder of other Americans meaning no death penalty, healthcare as a right and so on. Bernie is from Vermont and he lets me know his background by stating who he is. I can know his background as well by biographies and certain sources. For example the New York Times has a little intro about what Bernie is about. Bernie’s number one strength in my view is that he is on the left wing meaning he’s liberal a bit more on the socialist spectrum. Being left wing in my opinion is good because there is more open aspects on traditional values and beliefs. Bernie Sanders is strong in the sense that he wants to overcome inequality. By inequality he wants to minimize income so that in a way no person makes more than another person working the same job. Another strength is that he believes health care is right for everyone. I believe that health care definitely is a right that should be given to everyone because it is a huge concern and issue. I see many strengths in Bernie because he seems to really want people to thrive and have equality. I don’t see many weaknesses on his beliefs but I do see a weakness as to how they label Bernie. They label Bernie as a socialist and it’s often confused with demanding economic systems. I see that as a weakness because if American people don’t hear certain terms they don’t feel “safe”. For example if they hear about the republican or democratic party they see that as normal but, if socialism is heard they freak out or reject any other ideology or system. People also don’t listen socialism is a tittle to Bernie he specifically declared himself a democratic socialist. The values my candidate supports is protection of the people. He is really serious about assuring how the government uses people's information, immigration policies that don’t break families. He values the environment is the sense that he wants to charge people fees for polluting . I think Bernie is and isn’t trying to appeal a certain group of people. I think he is trying to appeal people who are tired of the economic inequity along with more unfair problems that society has. I think at the same time he’s being direct, simple and showing who he is.

Jontae I view his age normally because most people in congress, government, presidency etc are of an elderly age. I view it normally also because I feel that certain elderly people are wiser based on the life experience they had. I disagree with people who think his age is a weakness or barrier. I think that if you are passionate about doing something you should go for it no matter your age.

I do a gree that when Americans hear about socialism they intend to freak out and assume that it's completely communism when in reality it's truly not. Now that I think of the people who he appeals to I pretty much agree with you as well because hey I've only been living for 18 year and only I wanna say that 5-6 of those years I've been observing how sad people are and devastated they are that there is not change happening.

I choose Bernie Sanders. Although he has Socialist Democratic views he is for the people. He was born in Brooklyn New York in September 8, 1941. Before he ran for president he was a senator from Vermont. He believes in closing the gap between the rich and the poor. Education being free and lowering the debt rate for the students. He believes in creating good and decent paying jobs for the people. He also believes that we need to start fighting the global issue on climate change. He belive in reaching a fair and humane immigration policy that can really help those struggling families. Fighting still for the fair treatment and equality for the LGBT community. He also wants to fight for woman rights. He also believes in strengthening and expanding social services, and medicare for all while fighting for the disability rights. Something that he is hugely passionate about is ending big corporation funding in wall street to improve our economy mainly the rural areas. He also wants to fight for the rights of people with disabilities. Some of the strengths that he has is that he is bringing up issues that are really revealing and most importantly exposing the reality of things that go behind or under the table of our government. He is calling and making sure that he appeals to the young youth community to try and gain supporters. One of his weaknesses is that he is exposing information that angers people and might loose the support of the older population but who knows. He values the future of the next generations to come but he also acknowledges that we are progressing as a country and that there needs to be idealistic changes that need to happen to make this country and its purpose better for those living in it. Although he is most likely targeting the younger voters he is trying to welcome those foreign Americans eligible to vote to do so. there is more of this generation than they were before. Gaining their vote and making sure the encouragement is there is essential to help him win.

I view Sanders as a good leader for America. I like the fact how he cares more about the people than power. He takes people into consideration by providing them with many benefits. Hopefully he makes a change on immigration rights many families are struggling and living through fear each day because families are being separated.

It is really important for Bernie to appeal to as many people as he can in order to win. I think some people from the older generation might support Bernie but not everyone. Some of the older generation might want the same traditional values. I think there are people who are angry he's exposing so much information and there's those who do appreciate it. People from wall street might be those who are angry at him. For the most part he has the support of a lot of people. Bernie is committed to making changes and making the country better.

I choose Hillary Clinton and on ISIS she is pro-war, on the N.S.A issues she is pro the Patriot act but she did call out the N.S.A for using it inoperably. I find it very problematic that they didn’t have police brutally listed as a issues because as a Nation this is a big problem that non-whites are facing and it need to handle and not sweep under a rug. Other issues like health care she is down for helping the people get there basic needs that they need to live. Hillary is from Chicago and Illinois and she is pretty public with the information that she shares. Hilary is really in the middle she isn’t really liberal nor conservative so I believe that she is reaching feminist groups and middle age whites and non-whites. She supports Obama care and the Patriot act which is why I believe she isn’t really conservative or liberal. Hillary is really trying to get the young black people vote and I believe she doesn’t need to get the feminist vote because they already gave to her. Now just because I choose Hillary it doesn’t mean I support her views I just find it important to research someone who is probably going to beat Sanders, but I hope not.

I agree with your last sentence. Although people see Bernie as a socialist extremist, maybe it will be a good change for America. Jontae I agree with you that police brutality is a major issue that should be a concern and be addressed. Police brutality happened then and it is still happening now and there needs to be progress to try and advance towards justice. We see so many non white people get brutally attacked by police because they always seem to feel threatened for their life. In reality the lives of many non white people are in danger, because policemen are protected under the law and they can get away with the brutality ,hate crimes and deaths they do to our communities. It shouldn’t be ignored it should be addressed and talked about.

I really enjoy and couldn't say it better myself that she already has the feminist vote. I think this is really big in U.S. history because there has never been a female president that has held the office since George Washington. I also enjoy how you state that a person should actually look at the candidates history before assuming or looking at big issues because little ones should be counted as well.

Bernie Sanders is a democratic socialist who grew up in Brooklyn, NY. Sanders was born in 1941 to a struggling working class family. Having expierienced unfairness, he knows the struggles the majority face in the United States today. Before serving in congress for more than two decades, he has had jobs as a writer, low-income preschool teacher, filmaker and writer. As he worked his way up, he moved to Vermont from Israel and at one point became a mayor in the state of Vermont. Watching his campaigns and videos make it clear who his main audience is. He tries to appeal to the poor/ middle class majority. I believe he does this because he understands the problems but also because they’re more people in that class. When he mentions universal healthcare, free education..etc. , it’s obvious that his main value is equality. Sanders specifically believes that “Health care, to my mind, is a right of all people” which means that everyone should automatically have the right to universal healthcare. Other opinions on health care include him believing that the U.s should decrease the price of prescription drug and the repeal of the cadillac tax, which helps finane the expansion of health coverage. In addition, Sanders believes the U.S should help refugees because it’s sort of their responibilty. Finally, some of his speeches are also abbout how he believes in banning gun weapons, limiting the patriot act, and banning the death penalty. Bernie seems like a strong candidate, however his main weakness could be how socialist he is. His mentality that everyone should be equal harms his percentage of voters because, sadly, not everyone wants to be equal.

I think Bernie has really given back to the community and really cares about the people. I think him being a socialist pushes some of his voters away because America looks at socialism and communism as a bad thing. He seems really passionate about equality and giving the people what they need. I also wish everyone would like to have equality because it would really gain him voters.

Sara I agree that many people don't really believe his perspective of how he thinks the US should change its economy to socialism. People might think he wants to come in and actually favor the rich instead of the poor. People need to see that socialism brings equality and access to a lot of well provided services. People should give him a chance and take a secound to reconsider Bernies ideas to the solutions of many of our problems/concerns we have as a society.

Bernie Sanders believes that the rich is getting richer, he wants to put a stop to that. Also something that relates to that is billionaires are buying elections. Bernie Sanders quoted, “a great nation will not survive in my view when so few have so much and so many have so little”. This means that the 1 percent is getting richer because corporations are taking over the government. This makes the poor poorer. The are so selfish and only care about themselves. This is why Bernie Sanders thinks the rich should be taxed. He also thinks the minimum wage should be raised to a living wage. Lots of people are below the poverty line it's impossible living making 27,000 this is why minimum wage should be raised. Bernie was born in Brooklyn New York in September 8 1941. He was the senator of vermont before deciding to run for president. A couple of Bernie Sanders of strengths are he appeals to progressiveness. He has a lot of liberal ideas. A couple of Bernie Sanders weaknesses are is he has a lot of socialist beliefs and america's goal is to stay capitalist. He has a lot of family values. He appeals to the poor he is willing to help them out in many ways again such as taxing the rich, raising minimum wage and creating more jobs in america.

I agree with you Ivan on the point about the rich needed to get taxed higher than the lower income families. This a a united country and if we really want that to resemble our country than we should show and demand it. Having the rich pay as much as a lower income family is a way to show no matter what your racial background or economic class your in, you still have to put your part in our society to all cooperate evenly and fairly.

Bernie Sanders believes in democratic socialism and believes that the middle class of America is disappearing . He believes that rebuilding that middle class is one of America’s biggest issues. He also believes that they should approach the ISIS issue with intelligence and not just go on attacking ISIS. He believes that The US shouldn’t get involved in Syria because it would bring a never ending civil war and the US would forever be involved. He believes that everyone should have universal healthcare and that climate change is affecting our planet in many horrendous ways. Bernie was against the Patriot Act and he believes that the way intelligence agencies use this information should change.
Bernie Sanders was born in Brooklyn, New York and he was the senator of the state of Vermont. He was also involved in the civil rights movement taking part in the protests and even getting arrested in these protests. He also took place in protests that were pro gay marriage and he opposed the war in Iraq and also took part in those protests.
I believe his strength is that he is a white male. He has a lot of support from younger people and a lot of people of color. His weakness I believe is being a Democratic socialist because a lot of people misinterpret that for communist. Another weakness is that a lot of people believe that he is too liberal and is too ‘left winged’.
Bernie talks a lot about family values and how when children are born parents should have 12 weeks of paid leave. I believe Bernie Sanders tries to appeal to the middle and lower class of America. I think he tries to appeal to them because he says how he wants to raise the minimum wage and how he wants to tax big corporations more.

Bernie Sanders is from Brooklyn, New York. He is the son of Poland immigrants and his dad was a paint salesman. Bernie participated in the Civil Rights Movement, March on Washington, and taught students in the Head Start program. It seems he really is committed to making a change in order to help the community. Bernie believes in a socialist economy to create more jobs and for the people to receive a decent economy. Bernie believes in immigration reform and getting a law passed so many families don’t have live in fear. He believes that every women should have the choice to have an abortion if she chooses to. Bernie wants every person to pay their fair share of taxes including the rich and wall street. I think Bernie’s strengths are that he is very outspoken about the things he believes in and makes it very clear on what he’s upset about and what changes he wants to make. I don’t think he has any weaknesses because for the most part he wants the best for the people and wants to improve the country. I think he is trying to appeal to the middle class and the lower class because they are the ones who aren’t able to benefit much from the economy. Bernie supports family values like workers being paid for time off, vacation time, and women being paid for maternity leave. Also he talks about being aggressive towards ISIS in order to destroy to get rid of them. I think ISIS should not exist, but I don’t think being aggressive is going to help because we’re already dropping bombs on them and it’s only making things worse for the people since they are the ones who have lost their home to a war that never ends.

As I was choosing a person to learn more about and that became Bernie Sanders, he was born on September 8,1941 New York he is now 74 years old. He was raised in Brooklyn and according to the website “bio.” they describe his background as a normal kid who saw social problems and knew he wanted to change thing. They described in such an inspiring way it says, “ He grew up in Brooklyn as the youngest of two sons of Jewish immigrants from Poland. His father worked as a paint salesman. As part of a struggling working-class family, Sanders recognized early on America's economic disparity. As he told the Guardian newspaper, "I saw unfairness. That was the major inspiration in my politics," he said.”
He is running for president but as a democratic socialism, he believes in equity for everyone and becoming more reunited with our community. Hes
‘s campaign is about a progressive agenda- creates jobs, raise wages, protect environment, universal healthcare, pro-choice, pro-LGBT, etc. He wants to see change in this country and want the unfairness, by that I mean the 1% making all the decisions that is affecting the 99% of the population especially the lower class. These are important to me as well because we live in a new era and things will not always stay the same, and he is bringing to support all these decisions and helping us move forward. He is targeting people which are lower/middle class and young youth community. And I believe that he is doing that because we are the majority there not many rich people as there is middle and lower class as well as youth and if we all gather together we can change our country. I am concern of a weakness is that people will see it as communism and if it does get out of hands it can become one, as well as being a white man and for the people he seems so great but if you think about it all the great people that change our history gets assasinated. And it can be a possibility that it can happen due to our history. I want to see change in my country because it's just as mine as it is the rich. I may not go to the riches school, nor live in the fanciest home or community but it doesn't mean I am not educated to know what they have done to my people, my country.

Hillary Clinton Is a strong democratic independent women from Chicago, who not only aims to be the first female president of the Unites States, But to bring equality, greatness, and fix big issues facing America today. Hillary Clinton believes strongly in high class education for everyone not mattering social status nor where the person is from. She believes that everyone deserves the same chance at the same education and a chance to get a good education. She also believes strongly in raising minimum wage, and having a fair economy where rich pay equal fair of taxes and creating good paying jobs. Some of Hillary Clinton strengths are that she is a strong advocator for student s and has a lot attentions from young people. She is strong debater and knows what her goals are. She has lots of money which helps her a lot in running campaigns. Some of Mrs. Clinton’s weaknesses are that many think that her being a women, she will not be able to handle presidency. Most believe this because they think that she is too soft and too liberal to become president. Her worst weakness overall is that of the fact that most do not believe in a women president. Like I stated above Hillary Clinton talks a lot about education and having the same high class education for everyone. By stating this she is appealing to young voters and young students who believe in having same education and same opportunities. Hillary Clinton reaches out to these young adults because they are the future of the United States.

I agree that Hillary has some young people voting for her. However, it doesn’t compare to the amount of youth supports Bernie has. During her event in SF only white middle aged women were present. There was a lack of people of color and there were no young adults in sight. I actually disagree and think she isn’t appealing to young voters because in every debate she states that Bernie Sander’s goals are unrealistic and Bernie is pushing towards free education so she is basically saying free education is a big no no. She also isn’t in favor of legalizing marijuana but lately she has been saying more statements regarding this issue in order to sound more appealing to young voters and she is doing this because Sanders wants to legalize marijuana and has the support of many young voters. Lastly she doesn’t reach out to young voters she reaches out to middle aged white women that have the money to get her name out and help her campaign.

I originally planned to do my blog on Bernie Sanders, but then I thought hmmm why not Hillary Clinton? I actually attended an event in SF and met Hillary herself. Hillary Clinton believes in destroying ISIS, honestly in a way this could be scary because ISIS isn’t going to disappear just like that. She needs to think about what it’s going to take and what countries are going to be affected. She needs to think about how many innocent people will die in the process and in a way it’s like declaring war. Hillary believes in a more aggressive approach towards Syria. Hillary is from Chicago Illinois and was once a Republican but became Democratic in 1968. She was first lady of Arkansas then became first lady of the United States. Then, she was the United States Senator from New York and before running for president she was the 67th United States Secretary of State. Some strengths that Hillary has is that she has 100% recognition. She has a lot of money and has many contributors to her campaign such as JP Morgan Chase & Co and Citigroup Inc. She seems to take into consideration the young children in her events and makes sure questions are answered. Some weaknesses are that she can’t seem to relate with the youth. She says that Bernie Sanders has some unrealistic views and goals for our country. She thinks free education and health care can’t happen and it’s sad how she thinks something so important is unrealistic. I saw a video where a black lives matter protestor interrupted her speech and began talking about the movement. Hillary was very rude and said “I’ll speak to you later” and “shut up” I feel like she isn’t careful with her words. Hillary speaks for equal pay and stands up for women’s rights. She has many women’s votes secured. She seems to speak out to women mainly and that’s because she knows in a way she has those votes. I would love to have a women president, but not Hillary. I will not be voting for Hillary Clinton. I feel like she isn’t as liberal as many think and I simply don’t agree with many of her statements. She lacks the votes of many young people and that’s something that senator Sanders has. He has the support of many young people and that’s because he is real !!! His background shows that he is actually the realest candidate out there. He was interrupted by protestors and he stood aside and listened. #FeelTheBern

Most American people don't like the ideas behind socialism because of what it can bring which is higher taxes, government control of money and property.

I also believe that congress will not allow Bernie Sanders to make as much change as he wants to but I would rather have Bernie Sanders as a president than Hillary because even if Hillary will be able to make more change as a president doesn't mean it will be good change.

Hillary Clinton is on the sides of Democrats and believes in building on to reduce out-of-pocket cost for health care. She also believes in generating renewable energy to power in homes helping undocumented people. Hillary is from Chicago and was born on 1947. She is 68 years old. She went to Yale Law School and Wellesley College. She was the First Lady of the United States from 1993-2001. She was the United States Senator from 2001-2009. Lastly she was the United States Secretary of State from 2009-2013. Hillary’s strengths are that she is the first potential female president and is highly intelligent. More strengths are that her name is 100% recognized and she has access to very strong Democratic ground operation. Hillary’s weaknesses are that she is perceived as dishonest and cold/distant by many. Another weakness is that her last campaign was disorganized. Hillary supports in destroying ISIS. Hillary also supports women's rights and Obama’s health care. I think Hillary tries to appeal to woman. She for sure has the women's votes because Hillary believes in equal pay and women's rights. One vote she won’t have for sure is the youths because she seems to not seek into them and of their votes.

Since Hillary helps the youth a lot, people might take her actions into consideration and give Hillary a lot of votes. We need a president that is willing to help the young ones because they are the future.

It sounds like Hillary Clinton has a whole ton of experience of dealing with politics since she's been involved for over 15 years. She also sounds like she cares about helping undocumented people but it sounds to me like she wouldn't be trustworthy since her campaign was unorganized so how can we trust her to be organized with our country.

I believe Hilary Clinton has a lot of good ideas as the ones you have explained up in your response. The only problem that I see in her is that she has to please a lot of people in the government so she can't really be herself. She might want to do all this things and even better but might not because she might loose a lot of support and funds.

I decided to learn more about Bernie Sanders. Sanders has strong socialist beliefs in which he plans to help out the people of the United States. He believes that the rich should not get richer and that the poor should not have struggle. He strives to offer students free tuition at public universities and colleges by increasing taxes on the wealthy. He also believes that there should be a universal government provided health care. His view on immigration is that we should offer a path to citizenship and waive some deportations now. Bernie Sanders was born in New York and is the junior United States Senator from Vermont. He lets us know about his background through the media thus being on tv through interviews or on websites. He has his own website in which we can view important information on his candidacy. One of his strengths is that he has the support of the majority of the younger voters. His other strength is that he has specific reform ideas that help him stand out from the other candidates running. His weaknesses are that his ideas are similar to those of socialism, a system that is the opposite of capitalism. The united States is known for its capitalist system and introducing these new socialist ideas could cause some turbulence along the way. I think that Bernie Sanders tries to appeal to the working class and those in need of government aid. This is because his reform ideas are directed toward those who are not able to support themselves whether it be financially or in any other sort of way in which the people need the help.

Hillary Clinton is a strong woman candidate who takes politics really serious. Hillary is from Chicago Illinois and attended Yale law school . As a young girl, she was not an ordinary teenage girl who was interested on stuff other girls her age where interest on . she has been involved in politics since 1993. Hillary believes in giving the people free health care, helping undocumented people, and giving all the people the education needs. I believe a strength that she has is experience in politics. Since she has been involved in politics since young age, people can guess that she really cares about helping the country . Not only that but Hillary being involved in politics since a young age can also give the people a lot of trust. A weakness that Hillary might have during the election is her being a wom
en . A lot of sexist people might think she will not be able to handle all of the upcoming challenges a president might have. One of the main reasons for that is that the people are used to seeing a male president. People might be scared to vote for her because during the past years, there has never been a women president. Hillary really cares about the value of a family. In one of her speeches she said " if we really want to strengthen families, then we have to finally, once for all, have to fix our broken immigration system. Hillary also support the unfairness in jail. She stated " I think there are certain egregious cases that still deserve the consideration of the death penalty , but i'd like to see those be very limited and rare" .

I choose to research on Bernie Sanders from the candidates who are running for president. His full name is Bernard Sander and he was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1941.His father was a Jewish immigrant whose family was killed during the holocaust. Bernie came from a poor family and they lived in a small apartment in New York. He proudly attended Brooklyn city college and then transferred to the University of Chicago where Barrack Obama was teaching at the time. He was very involved in the Civil Rights movement and was arrested in some occasions for participating and leading marches. Bernie was then elected mayor of Berlin Vermont. He was then appointed to the house of representatives and managed to pass his first law that was to support Cancer. Bernie Sanders believes in Democratic Socialism and wishes to bring equality among all citizens of the United States. He strongly believes equality should be a must in our country. He plans to tax the 1% that are rich and raise the minimum wage to balance out the economic balance a bit. He values free education and wants to make free tuition to public college and universities in the US. Adding to his values in equality he wants to help out immigrants and allow them to have the same opportunities as everyone else economically. Bernie wants elections to be non influenced by big corporations and be publicly influenced. His strength is that he has previous support and fame from when he was during the civil rights movement and in the House of representatives. His view of full equality is what makes his campaign strong because he favors many people with issues they would like to see resolved in the US. I believe he will come through and be victorious. I think he will become president because he has goals for the country to improve in areas it drastically needs support in and many citizens believe he is the change this country needs to actually have a future.

Like everyone else, I also chose Bernie Sanders. My newsfeed in every social media is covered by him. Bernie’s beliefs and values set him apart from every other candidate. Part of it is his honesty and sincerity in fighting for people’s rights and lives. He believes in free universal healthcare, free education, banning assault weapons, ending war and sending troops home, charging companies for carbon emissions, offer immigrants a path to citizenship and even waiving some deportations now, and raise the minimum wage to a living wage. He also wants the rich to pay higher taxes (for those who make over $250,00) and limit corporate and interest-group spending in campaigns. Lastly, he is a feminist!
Bernie is from Brooklyn, New York. He is the United States Senator of Vermont. Bernie lets people know about where he comes from from his speeches. Even in his speeches, sometimes someone else introduces him with events from the past he has contributed and fought for or against.
Sanders has great youth support. Majority of the people like him. His actions support his statements. He is the most electable candidate and is doing better than Hillary Clinton who can’t even beat the Republicans at the moment. However, the media is making it seem as if Bernie is losing. Since Bernie doesn’t support corporations and the corporations are aware of his views, they do not want Bernie to win. Because of this, corporations control the media and don’t want people to know that he is the most electable candidate. They make it seem as if Hillary Clinton is going to win. Opposers of Bernie also use his age against him. In addition, he is Jewish and some people might be against a non-christian being president. Not only is he Jewish, he is a Democratic Socialist. When people hear “socialist” they assume the worst and think of communism. Bernie is for the people but the people aren’t allowed to see that. He is supported massively online but people do not go out and vote.
Bernie supports and speaks about equality. This involves gender, social classes, races, education, healthcare, etc. Bernie appeals mostly to the youth and to minority groups that are constantly attacked. This involves #BlackLivesMatter, women’s rights (salary, body) and not letting the top 1% control all wealth. He appeals to these groups because minorities are actually the majority. There are more people of color than white people. Bernie appears to genuinely care about us.

I chose Benjamin Solomon Carson more recognized as Ben Carson. Carson is part of the Republican party and he believes in guarding the borders with technology rather than a physical wall. However, he also believes that all undocumented already in America should be registered and welcomed as guests. He believes in heterosexual marriages and is against same sex relationships. Yet he states to not be homophobic. In regards to gun control, he believes it is the people's right to keep weapons. Otherwise some tragedy will happen again, comparing it to the Nazis and the Jews.
Carson was born in Detroit, Michigan. He went to school and graduated from Yale University. He became a neurosurgeon and was known for his amazing work. He is 64 and has been a part of politics since the late 1970's.

Based on the information that you have given, it was very surprising that he believes that all undocumented that are already here should be welcomed. As a republican I basically expected him to be against ALL illegal immigrants. On the other side I believe that guarding the border with technology would create a higher cost and won't have the outcome he expects.

I choose Hilary Clinton. She’s a strong democratic woman. She was born in Chicago Illinois in 1947 meaning she’s 68. From 2009 to 2013 she was the united state secretary of state. She went to Yale law school from 1969 to 1973. She believes in equality for all. Her goal is not to contain Isis, “but to defeat and destroy Isis,” She has many goals set up she wants to built up the economy by raising up the minimum wage and also to strengthen families and communities. Also many youths would talk about how education is really expensive and her goal is to make it more affordable for students that want a better future. She also plans in making a change for immigrants put she says in order to make a change we have to work together. She also talked about how racism is still going today and why is the majority of people that go into jail people of color how would it be in they were white and that something she wants to change, more equality. One of her strengths is that she’s saying a lot of things that people want to hear. Which motivates people to have her as presidents because she thinks about everyone. One of her weaknesses is that she’s a woman and probably people will feel overwhelmed in choosing her because most of the time people view women as powerless and think that they don’t have the capacity to make a change.

I completely agree that a major disadvantage for her is that she is a woman. As it has been shown over the years, there has NEVER been a female president. Although she is running for the democratic party did you know that before 1968 she used to be republican?

I actually disagree that her being a woman is completely a disadvantage. Just like many are not voting for her because of their sexism, many people are voting for her because they want a female president. They disregard her position in many past and present issues. It can go both ways.

Politician: Bernie Sanders

He believes in Free healthcare/ healthcare for all, against patriot act and war on ISIS,

His original name is Bernard Sanders but for short Bernie Sanders

Strengths: Has many people in favor of his opinions. According to the last poll he has a higher chance to win trump than Hillary. He has had a lot of elected experience. He has never changed his mind on any act or war decision.

Weaknesses: His opposers are spending a lot of campaigning that his vote is less than what his people want. He doesn’t have corporations on his side which is a big factor of the now known capitalist economy. Super delegates are pledging their support on Hillary.

He believes in social democracy and the equality of people. He tries to appeal to most people especially the working class by offering higher wages and more jobs.

I think that being supported by corporations is a bit controversial. I also agree with you that it is a huge factor because many corporations fund politicians like the Koch Brothers in order to benefit the corporations and potentially the person in power. I think that Bernie's sanders ideals are honest and he is actually trying to repair the economy and regulate fair government issues as well as social ones.

I also focused on Bernie Sanders and forgot to mention his low campaign budget. He doesn't have as much money as the other candidates as you mention. When he became a senator in Vermont he ran on his own, meaning he didn't have a lot of governmental support. Now that he is running for president he had to side with a party to gain more support.

My candidate believes in agreeing with the security of the country, for example, “I assume when I pick up my telephone, people are listening to my conversations anyway, if you want to know the truth. It’s pretty sad commentary. But I err on the side of security.” Also he believes that we need to make "Make America great again". Donald Trump is a real estate developer and a reality tv star and a owner of many hotels. One of my candidates strengths is being racist and trying to get Immigrants out of the country to be able to have America back to normal. Also another strength is that he can get the Rich wealthy republicans to try to vote for him. Also has a strength to tell people "You're fired". One of his weaknesses is that he faces challenges establishing his credibility. Another weakness he claims to have is trusting people too much. My candidate supports the values of getting rid of immigrants and having America's economy better just because he has created many jobs. My candidate tries to appeal mostly to any type of group of people but mostly the rich and racist type of people... By the way im NOT voting for him i just wanted to do it on him lol.

I chose to do my research on Republican Ben Carson. Ben Carson is the Republican candidate who currently has the least amount of delegates (8) compared to the Trump (316) as of March 1st. Some background on Ben Carson is that he is a successful brain surgeon from Detroit, Michigan born on September 18, 1951 (www,biography.com/people/ben-carson-475422#sypnosis). As a child, his family struggled financially and because of that he struggled in school. He later realized that was not the way he wanted people to remember him so he graduated from Southwestern High School with honors and went to Yale University on a full scholarship.
I learned that Carson is not convinced that global warming is a threat or a proven trend. He believes that the climate debate is "irrelevant". He also believes that we need more school choices when it comes to the education of our children. Students who learn in home schools, privates schools, or charter schools outperform the students who attend public schools. Lastly, his belief on gun laws are that there should be few limitations on the ownership. Unless someone is mentally ill or has been convicted of a violent crime, they can freely roam around the country with the right to own a gun which sounds pretty ridiculous to me.
His strengths are that he is very much keeping the conservative ideals and gaining those peoples votes. He is also making himself well known by going on televisions shows like The View and sharing his opinions on important issues. His weaknesses are that he has never officially held political office; thus, making him inexperienced to run the country.

I agree with you that Carson’s belief on guns is crazy. Gun possession should be illegal. There is no point in owning one. People own them because they do not feel “safe.” However, if no one owned a gun, everyone would be safe. “Everyone” includes average citizens and police authorities.

Bernie sanders believes in equality and justice for all. He has always believed in it and has been in a lot marches and protests. He used to live and was born in Brooklyn, New york.He went to many different schools and was always interested in being a political figure because there is and was a lot of police brutality and inequality. He lets us know about his background because he explains it and many of his supporters talk about it a lot and inform the other people. His strengths are that he wants to help everyone have a better future. He also wants to have less police brutality and equality, he has a good plan to help students go to college with no tuitions and/or little tuition. His weaknesses are that many people support him but not a lot of people are actually going out to vote for him. Also another weakness is that he wants to destroy some banks and that can make the economy go down a whole lot. He support immigrants and people of color. He does not leave anyone behind and one of his values are Family. He tries to appeal to the group of people who are seen as the minorities and are the majority. He tries to appeal to us because they are the people who are more dehumanized and need the help. The people who he tries to appeal the most to id the people of color and not only the African Americans but Latinos too.

Bernie Sanders was worn in Brooklyn New York in September 8, 1984. He was senator of Vermont before running for president of the United States. I chose Bernie because he is for the people. He believes in distributing the wealth and reducing the gap between the 1 percent and the other 99 percent. He also believes that education should be free and that students who are in debt should have their debt reduced. Bernie wants to focus on helping out all of the people and not only the rich. He wants to make it possible for others to have a good education. Another thing that Bernie believes in is women's rights. He believes that women should be treated equally than men and that they should be payed the same as a man would. Bernie shows that he values everyone and that he wants fairness and equality for all of the people. He acknowledges that the future of this country is the youth and he shows attention to them. A weakness that people might see in him is that they might think he is a socialist. Some people are scared of socialism because they fear that it will turn into communism.

The candidate i picked to do more research on is Donald Trump. He believes in many controversial issues in the U.S. that makes people hate him. For example, he believes in completely wiping out ISIS without question just a direct action type of plan. He also believes that this country is infested by immigrants that ruin the economy. Trump comes from a wealthy family since his dad was a real estate investor he acquired tons of wealth. He really is brief about when he talks about his life so he just gives really shorts pieces of information during debates or presentations. Some of his greatest strengths is getting people to look up to him and vote for him. He has a way to just make people cheer and applause for him while he just enjoys himself. One of the weaknesses he has is blaming other candidates for the wrong doings they have done for this country. He targets so many people and it is just not professional of him specially since he is running to be the next republican president. He really values the sense of being a patriot. He is really against foreign terrorist organizations and completely wiping them out of the planet for eternity. He also values that this country should only be runned by natives to this country not anchor babies or any other full citizens that their parents are from a foreign country. He mostly tries to grab the silent majority's attention. He tries to grab the uneducated people because he knows that he can manipulate them in a sense that they can favor him and making them do whatever he wants.

The candidate I chose to focus on is Donald Trump. Donald Trump is from Queens, New York City, New York. Donald Trump is mainly known for being in show business. I chose to focus on Donald Trump because it makes me wonder why so many people follow him despite all of his outrageous beliefs. For one Donald Trump believes that climate change isn't real. He says climate change is just something that the Chinese made up in order to suppress the American economy. And although he is the son of an immigrant and is married to an immigrant, Donald Trump also believes all immigrants should be deported back to their country and that birth right citizenship should also be denied to children of immigrants. I think Donald Trump strengths is the fact that he has a lot of money and has the ability to make people blindly follow him. Although these beliefs and plans are completely irrational and ignorant Donald Trump is voicing the opinions and fears of Americans who are afraid of immigrants taking over their privileges.

The president I chose to look more into was Bernie Sanders because he stands out of the rest. He seems to be the guy that tries to to do the right thing out of the whole. He was born and New York and later on became the senator of Vermont. He wants to help out society in a lot of ways. One way is making us more eco friendly because climate change is an issue affecting all of us and it's time to put a stop to it. One of his best ideas is that he wants to make education free for everyone and reduce the cost of college. He wants everyone to get a good education. He also wants people to have an easier path to citizenship. Another thing he wants to do is give free government health care for everyone. He has a lot of great ideas, but unfortunately, they interfere with American Ideals. If we pay attention to everything he likes it leads on to socialism. Providing a lot of government help and erasing social barriers. This is something that the other candidates will use against him and take a lot of his support.
